Coaching proposal template
A coaching proposal is the one page a coach sends after a consult.
What goes in it
It restates the client's goal and what is in the way in their own words, lays out what they get at each stage of coaching, gives only the timeline and price you actually agreed, and ends with how to start. Winning proposals tend to be the shorter ones, so keep it to one page and about 350 words.
One page, around 350 words.
- 1
Proposal title
The coaching in plain words.
- 2
Context & objective
Their goal and what is in the way, in their own terms, and what this coaching works toward.
- 3
The plan
Each phase and what the client gets in it.
- 4
Timeline
Only timing stated in your notes.
- 5
Price & terms
The price and payment terms stated in your notes only; omit anything not agreed.
- 6
How to start
How they say yes and start.
When to send it
When to send it
- The same day as a consult where the lead said yes in principle.
- When a renewing client wants their next block in writing.
- When a lead asks for something they can show their partner.
Common mistakes
- A price or start date you never agreed on the call.
- Listing everything your coaching includes instead of what this client gets.
- Leaving out how to start, so the yes stalls.
Why it works
Proposify's analysis of 742k proposals found winning proposals were shorter than losing ones, with about seven sections.
Proposify, State of Proposals (742k proposals)The person who signs is often not the person you met, so the proposal has to restate the client's goal in their own words.

Let Fen write it
- 1
Bring the client's record
Their intake, check-ins and messages, pasted, dropped or imported into that client's record.
- 2
It can't make up a number
Every weight, date and figure Fen writes is checked against the client's own words, and a load or macro target is computed from your rules. One with no source is flagged, never guessed.
- 3
You decide what goes out
At default settings nothing reaches a client until you press. Email replies go out from your own Gmail when you press Approve and send.
Questions
- What goes in a coaching proposal?
- The goal in the client's words, what coaching includes at each stage, the timeline, the price and terms you agreed, and how to start.
- Will Fenlio put a price in it?
- Only a price that is in your notes or the client's record. If none was agreed, the price is left out rather than guessed.
