Reel script template for coaches

A reel script for coaches is a short video script under 45 seconds, about 110 spoken words.

What goes in it

The hook is the first line, under three seconds, and doubles as the on-screen caption because most feed video plays muted. Four to six beats follow, each one sentence that moves the idea forward, and the close gives one next step. Script it from something you actually teach clients.

Under 45 seconds spoken, roughly 110 words.

  1. 1

    Hook

The first spoken line, under three seconds. It also runs as the on-screen caption, so it must work with the sound off.

  2. 2

    Body beats

Four to six beats, each one spoken sentence that moves the idea forward.

  3. 3

    Close

    One spoken next step.

When to send it

When to send it

  • When a client question would help everyone who follows you.
  • When you want to show your coaching, not just talk about it.
  • When a carousel idea would work better spoken.

Common mistakes

  • A hook that only works with the sound on.
  • Saving the point for the end.
  • Two ideas in one video.

Let Fen write it

  1. 1

    Bring the client's record

Their intake, check-ins and messages, pasted, dropped or imported into that client's record.

  2. 2

It can't make up a number

Every weight, date and figure Fen writes is checked against the client's own words, and a load or macro target is computed from your rules. One with no source is flagged, never guessed.

  3. 3

    You decide what goes out

At default settings nothing reaches a client until you press. Email replies go out from your own Gmail when you press Approve and send.

Questions

How long should a coaching reel be?
Under 45 seconds, about 110 spoken words. One idea, said clearly.
Why does the hook need to work on mute?
Most feed video plays without sound, so the first line also has to land as on-screen text.
